Our Mission

Fishing for Men exists to help men find meaningful community and equip them to live purpose-filled lives as devoted followers of Jesus. We create life-changing environments for men to encounter God, experience real community, and discover their God-given purpose.

Our Vision

We’re building a movement of men discipled under Christ who are emotionally whole, spiritually grounded, and living with kingdom purpose.

Our Foundation

“Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” – Matthew 4:19

The Story Behind Fishing for Men

Fishing for Men didn’t start as a ministry idea. It began as a joke over lunch between a few friends. But the joke didn’t go away, because it tapped into something real. As we spent time together, we realized we were experiencing something many men quietly long for—honest friendship, meaningful conversations about faith, and a place be real about life without pretending.

As men seeking to walk with Christ, we recognized how easy it is to feel disconnected, especially as responsibilities grow and friendships become harder to maintain. Fishing for Men grew out of that realization. At its heart, it’s simply an invitation—to know you’re not alone, to follow Jesus together, and to experience the kind of Christ-centered community we believe God designed men for.

Our goal is to create different spaces for men to fellowship and build lifelong friendships as they walk with Jesus. Currently, we have different ways to engage:

Podcast: Join us every other week as we talk through different topics about life and what it means to be a man, all through the lens of Scripture.

Refinery Groups: Discipleship is best done in community. We meet weekly to go deeper into knowing scripture, understanding theological topics, and walking out spiritual practices. Come join us or let us know if you’re interested in starting your own group!

Fire Nights: There is just something about fire! We meet several times throughout the year in Valley View, Texas around a bonfire to talk about life. This is a great way to meet other men and enjoy God’s creation.

Retreats: Life is busy, and there is something about getting away with other men to really dig into our relationship with Jesus that really fills the soul. Each fall, we host a 3-day retreat filled with teaching, good food, and fun as we rest, reflect, and grow together.
